Landmark Australian Ruling on Antizionist Incitement
On February 26, 2026, the Victoria Civil and Administrative Tribunal in Melbourne, Australia decided that the chant, “ALL ZIONISTS ARE TERRORISTS” incites hatred against the Jewish people. The Tribunal plays a role similar to human rights tribunals in Canada. However, its findings have relevance to analogous criminal legislation globally.

Ontario Man Sentenced to Two Years Imprisonment for Incitement to Hatred & Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purposes
This case confirms that a hatemonger is not immunized from criminal liability for incitement of hatred against Jews when an individual demonizes all Zionists and urges others to destroy them. This case explicitly makes the connection between antizionism and antisemitism and reinforces the dangers associated with extremist hate speech.
